Ahead of the long weekend, we’re sharing a brief update on the Government of Alberta’s ongoing consultation on legal aid.
As you know, the government invited stakeholder input on legislative frameworks, governance and service delivery models.
Our response highlights the importance of an independent Legal Aid Alberta and the many advantages the current model offers Albertans. We understand that other justice system partners have responded similarly.
There are no other developments at this time, but we anticipate continued discussions and will keep you informed as the process evolves.
