LAA is an independent, non-profit organization that provides affordable legal services to low-income Albertans. The directors are ambassadors for LAA and provide oversight of the organization and guidance to the leadership team.
Board Chair Ryan Callioux, KC, said he is looking forward to working with the new directors.
“It is exciting to bring on such qualified professionals to our board and I look forward to their involvement and contribution to the board and to the organization for years to come,” he said.
“I have been with the LAA Board of Directors for more than six years now and can say without reservation that over that time LAA has benefitted from an incredibly committed executive team, strong board members who have never failed to contribute their time and energy in abundance, and the excellent leadership of John Panusa.”
Callioux added that outgoing board members Michael Waite and Nancy Peck who finished their terms, made important contributions to LAA.
“I would like to thank Michael and Nancy for their valuable service and wish them the best moving forward,” he said. “Their contributions are greatly appreciated, and they will be missed.”
