Indigenous People and the Law: A Guide to Restorative Justice and Indigenous Courts

Virtual public event hosted by Legal Aid Alberta
Thursday, June 24, 2021
Noon – 1 p.m.

Registration is now closed.

It is more important than ever that we, as Canadians, as people, continue to learn the history of Indigenous people and to understand restorative justice. Indigenous people do not “get off easy” in the criminal justice system. They form a small percentage of the Canadian population but are vastly over-represented in our prisons. That can change.

Find out what Indigenous Courts are, why we need them, and how they are making a difference.
