We have implemented a lawyer directory on the LAA website to better assist clients in selecting preferred counsel.
The lawyer directory addresses a critical challenge for our clients, who often struggle to find a lawyer who accepts legal aid cases, which can cause delays in accessing legal representation.
Expanded travel guidelines, complemented by a user-friendly lawyer directory, will transform how clients find and choose a legal aid lawyer.
The lawyer directory implementation phase began in May 2024 by actively engaging with the roster lawyer community.
Roster lawyers are asked to email [email protected] to add or change a listing. To be included in the directory, you must be an active member of the Legal Aid Alberta roster.
