• Client Gateway is a secure online form that lawyers can use to help existing LAA clients apply for additional legal aid coverage.
• With Client Gateway, existing clients of LAA only have to explain their new charges to you once, whether you are acting as duty counsel or current counsel on other matters.
• Client Gateway is now available to lawyers.

Many Albertans with criminal charges have difficulties getting in touch us. The reasons vary from not having access to a phone or limited time to remain on hold, disinterest or mental illness, to lack of understanding or inability to retain information about their charges.

Legal Aid Alberta is excited to introduce an alternative way for roster lawyers to get coverage for existing LAA criminal clients without having to call. LAA Client Gateway is a secure online form that lawyers can use to help existing LAA clients apply for additional legal aid coverage.
