Effective Monday, May 1, documents associated with a client’s family matter will be emailed directly to the appointed lawyer by a member of the Administrative Support Team within the Contact Centre.
The documents will be sent from [email protected] on the next business day after the certificate is issued.
Why are we doing this?
When a lawyer accepts a client’s family matter, they will most likely require the documents the client provided to LAA during the application process, including orders, financial information, etc. Having the Contact Centre provide those documents to the lawyer directly will go a long way in ensuring exceptional client service — reducing client frustration should they have to give documents twice and, ultimately, expediting the lawyer’s review and preparation of the file.
